FRIDAY THE BEST DAY OF THE WEEK

Friday is interpreted as Jumaah and Salah al-Jumaah. Before the prayer Muslims listen to a lecture designed to empower them with valuable knowledge about ALLAH and the religion of Islam. It is a blessed day that has been designated as such by ALLAH Almighty no other day of the week shares its virtues. On every Friday Muslims meet for crowd prayer which is replaced by Duhr prayer. Friday has special importance in Islam. Friday is more worthwhile than other days of the week. It is a day loaded with  tolerance and humanity. Every Friday a Salah of Jumaah offer and for this Salah special time is appropriated. Friday is also the day on which one of the greatest verses in the Quran was revealed.

Hadiths about the day of Friday:

Our beloved Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said,

“The best day the sun rises over is Friday; on this day Allah created Adam. On Friday, he was made to enter paradise, on it he was expelled from it, and the Last Hour will take place on no other day than Friday.”
(At-Tirmidhi)

Beloved Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said,

“There is no day more virtuous than Friday.  In it there is an hour in which no one will pray to God except that God will hear his prayer”.

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) described the virtues of Jumaah prayer in the following hadith with these words.

The day of Jummah includes an hour during which all supplications are accepted. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “On the day of Jummah is an hour during which Allah gives to a Muslim servant standing in prayer whatever he asks for.” (Al Bukhari)

The Beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said,

“The best day in the sight of Allah Almighty is Friday, the day of the congregation” (Al-Bukhari).

Friday Check List:                                                                                                                          

  • Take a shower.
  • Clip your nails.
  • Wear neat clothes.
  • Put on some pure fragrance.
  • Use Miswaak for teeth cleaning.
  • Salah.
  • Read Surah Al-Kahf.
  • Send blessings upon the Beloved Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) as much as possible.
  • Do good deeds.
  • Give in Charity as much as u can.
